We had a opportunity to talk with the folks over at Roblox during GDC 2015 about their Android app and when you utilize Roblox on your Android device then there’s what’s promising for you. The whole application will be receiving overhauled in terms of functionality and especially according to the user interface for the app.

One of the issues with the app on Android, besides the occasional crash and menu scaling issues, would be that the user interface and overall functionality of the app is fairly rough and bulky. If you’ve seen the iOS version of Roblox then you already know that the iOS version just looks much better. Additionally, it just appears to are more effective overall.

Well the Android version will quickly be updated having a similar user interface. The ugly blue interface will be going poof and in its place would be the a lot more cleaner looking white interface that you simply see on the iOS version. Everything is just a lot nicer looking, more organized, and generally works a lot better than what’s currently available within the Android version. Obviously you will still have the ability to access the Roblox games but there will be a nice horizontal scrolling listing of games which you’ve recently played. Just below that’ll be games you’ve marked as favorite.

Above both of those games lists is the friends list as well as your own character. You can get into your personal character’s screen to customize it and things are specified by a much more organized fashion. Going to a game’s page will have you given a tabbed interface where one can check out the game’s description, screenshots from the game, the game’s leaderboards, and then any additional information, all of which is organized inside a tabbed layout.

Some of the already exists within the Android version of Roblox however the update will expand on it greatly, making this new layout the entire app’s UI.
