The Simpsons: Tapped Out Gets a Heroic Update

Written by Zack Kaplan

The latest update for EA’s free-to-play Simpsons game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is now available. The update brings superhero-themed happy to the sport.

All players get a free Pie-Man costume for Homer, with numerous super hero costumes unlockable for other characters. You’ll be taking on criminals by tapping in it. For those familiar with Tapped Out, in-app purchases are for sale to make unlocking things easier.?

The in-game event is placed to run for around a month, and is separate just like a comic book story-arc, in issues. Each issue will change what you are collecting and what prizes can be obtained. This is actually the official update description:

– What makes a hero a hero other than meat, bread, and mayo? Wait, WHAT?? Superheroes? Homer isn’t going to be at liberty relating to this one.
– Heroes and villains are flooding Springfield. You’ve built your town C now you have in order to save it
– Join iconic Simpsons characters as their alter-egos combat the forces of evil.
– With new characters, buildings, decorations, and more, will you be the hero that Springfield needs

For people who haven’t played Tapped Out before, everything you do in this game involves collecting in-game money and items for the personally designed Springfield. I give this warning because it is one of those games that you’re?supposed?to constantly be playing in small?increments, which doesn’t suit my gaming habits. It may suit yours though.
