[Update: Event Started] Deadman’s Cross now has expanded cross-platform multiplayer. Resident Evil Revelations 2 cross-over event coming soon.

Deadman’s Cross from Square Enix has been on cellular devices for a while now. In the event you didn’t know, it was actually an exclusive release for mobile devices… that’s until today. Square Enix has release Deadman’s Cross onto the PS Vita (accessible with the Playstation Network). With this release to the PS Vita, Square Enix has expanded the cross-platform multiplayer features to incorporate this new PS Vita release.

Update: February 26th, 2015 9:33am PST: Just a quick update to remind everyone the Resident Evil Revelations 2 event has begun. The secluded island in the Resident Evil Revelations 2 game is really a new hunting area in Deadman’s Cross. Here’s what is part of the event: “Players must complete specific Resident Evil jobs to get a R.E. hunt permits that will allow them to explore the area, and get Resident Evil Revelation 2 character icons and items, including ‘Fist Aid Spray’, in addition to experience new crossover quests.”

If you aren’t acquainted with farmville, Deadman’s Cross is Square Enix zombie-filled card game. However there’s more to the game than simply collecting cards as possible take part in full 3D FPS-style zombie hunts. Up until now the game only has been available for Android and iOS users.

However today the sport has arrived for that PS Vita and is fully compatible with the cross-platform multiplayer features that the Android and iOS versions included. What this means is your friends who possess a PS Vita can now pick up Deadman’s Cross and only team up with you in Co-op multiplayer or combat you in PvP multiplayer utilizing their PS Vita copy from the game.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 (official website) is going to be crossing over with Deadman’s Cross starting February 25th. As for just what will come with this event was not announced at this time.
