Assassin’s Creed Unity companion app is now not needed to open blue chests

Companion Applications are a fascinating concept in a lot of ways because you’re basically attempting to make use of the mobile gaming industry, and the gaming industry in general, by extending the functionality of the game to include mobile devices. This could be for a lot of reasons and completed in many ways, whether it’s actually useful features, a second screen feature, news increase, and other things a developer can come up with to make their games seem like there is a lot more features into it then there really is.

In truth a lot of companion apps are gimmicks above all else. Not every one of them, but a good amount are. So when you’ve certain features that require players to use your companion app, the best thing to complete would be to make sure that the app remains useful in some fashion. The Assassin’s Creed Unity game had a patch that, in turn, literally made the companion app basically useless.

Before the patch players were required to download the companion app for Assassin’s Creed Unity to be able to unlock the blue chests. These chests were built with a variety of goodies inside may it be in-game money, new gear, new items, and so forth. Apparently a good amount of players disliked the truth that content was locked away in this fashion and now you don’t have to make use of the app to unlock nowhere chests.

The new patch also removes the need to log into Ubisoft’s Initiates web service which tracks a player’s? progress car Assassin’s Creed series. Like a player leveled up, gold chests would unlock in different locations around the maps, rewarding players concentrating on the same prizes as the blue chest. However, this service had a large amount of connectivity problems, was taken down in December, and can certainly be kept down permanently, with gold chests being unlockable in-game.

You can continue to keep up with Assassin’s Creed Unity news, make use of the interactive map, solve Glyph puzzles and everything else that came with the app. But the real usefulness from the app, regarding the blue chests being unlockable only with the app itself, is finished.
