Rumors stirring around online indicated a brand new refreshed Shield Tablet could be coming as soon as come july 1st. It’s expected that the tablet would use NVIDIA’s newest mobile processor, the Tegra X1.

The current Shield Tablet was released late last summer and featured the most advanced Tegra mobile processor during the time of release, the Tegra K1. Tegra X1 was recently announced at the 2015 Electronic devices Show in Vegas. The rumored refresh would be NVIDIA’s third piece of Shield Hardware. The first of which released was the Shield Portable.

The Shield devices offer up high tech Android gaming along with PC game streaming.
