[PAX East 2015] Drome Makes Palindromes Into a Game

Written by Zack Kaplan

A new puzzle game for mobile devices called Drome is placed for a release on Android later this spring.

The title Drome refers to a palindrome, which is when a word or pattern is identical forward and backward. Developed by Asinine Games, puzzles come in the form of patterns of shapes. Shapes are then moved around, by swapping two at any given time. Puzzles become more complicated as they grow in size and as shapes with different effects are thrown in to the mix.

While I only were built with a limited period of time with Drome, this looks like one of those games that seems simple around the outset but becomes hard to put down. Like a Rubik’s Cube, but in an application.
