The Big Indie Pitch is coming and will be at GDC 2015. Pitch your game, get judged, and possibly win prizes!

Steel Media regularly holds indie Pitch events throughout the year. They are events where developers can pitch a game they are currently developing, to a panel of judges. If you’re within the top three then you definitely win various prizes that should help you out together with your game’s launch. However, several times annually there’s also Big Indie Pitch events and these tend to be bigger versions from the regular indie pitches. What this means is the prizes will also be bigger.

The first Big Indie Pitch for 2015 is being held only at that year’s GDC 2015 show and we are going to be around the panel of judges too. It will not be just us though doing the judging, you will see other major websites being represented too including Cult of Mac, 148Apps, GamesIndustry.biz, Steel Media (a.k.a PocketGamer), and more. Quite simply, since many of us are likely to be judging and reporting on this Big Indie Pitch, just being there to pitch your upcoming game is a lot of exposure free of charge.

However, there are prizes too beyond a lot of media exposure and they’re all geared towards making the launch of the upcoming game successful. Prizes include $5000, $2500, $1000 worth of advertising on Steel Media websites, TrailerFarm will make a custom trailer for your game when it launches, and much more. Because most indie developers are on an excellent tight budget, these kinds of prizes can go quite a distance to helping make your game release successful.

If you are a developer, will be at GDC 2015, and wish to take part in the large Indie Pitch, I suggest registering as quickly as possible since there are a limited quantity of spaces available. Once those are chock-full, which there’s only a bit left, gone will be the more spots available. So if you wish to sign up, go to the state form through the link below (you will have to register/login). Once you sign up and have a spot, you’ll want to grab your tickets from Everbrite (they are free).

Good luck and we’ll help you at GDC 2015!
