Back in October 2014 we reported on the new Warhammer 40,000 game heading our way at some point called Regicide. Games Workshop has now released a Collector’s Edition for Warhammer 40,000: Regicide in addition to a new trailer to check out which shows exactly what the gameplay may be like.

If you missed our previous coverage of Warhammer 40,000: Regicide, this really is essentially Games Workshop’s concept of Chess, aside from the fact it occurs within the Warhammer 40K universe and it has animated Chess pieces. If you’re a fan from the franchise then you know that this means there is also a large amount of guns involved. This is a turn-based strategy game much less dissimilar from how Chess is played. It isn’t completely like Chess since you can do things like bringing in an airstrike and casting spells. There is a Blood Angels single-player campaign available at launch in addition to cross-platform multiplayer.

There will be two kinds of game modes available for players to select from:

– Regicide: in which you “plan a panic attack and command your soldiers through multiple phases of combat.”
– Classic: where you “sharpen your tactics according to traditional chess rules, brutally executing violent kills in diverse battlefield terrains.”

The interesting thing about these Collector’s Editions is that there is actually a selection of different bundles to select from, each one consisting of a variety of different physical goods. Magnified you choose though, every bundle also posseses an in-dev game key that grants in-development accessibility game when it goes live. Additionally they have a set of high-quality art prints of iconic characters from the Warhammer 40K universe. All the apparel in the bundles was created by Warhammer 40,000 artist Stefan Kopinski.

Of course these bundles are for the PC version of the sport but we figured as it is also visiting Android, there is a operate a handful of you might also grab the PC version, especially since it has cross-platform multiplayer. You can check out all of the different Collector Edition Bundles over around the official Warhammer 40K store. There’s still no word as to if this will be released for Android, that it will be following the PC version’s launch. Until additional information are released, enjoy the new trailer below. The gameplay and visuals look quite good
