So far Hearthstone has received one adventure-style update based on Naxxramas from Wow called the Curse of Naxxramas. There is a second one coming our way soon and this time it relies off of Blackrock Mountain. Actually the this adventure update is exactly that, Blackrock Mountain.

Here’s the official storyline for the upcoming Blackrock Mountain adventure update:

Trouble stirs beneath Blackrock Mountain. Deep inside the fiery cracks from the Molten Core, Ragnaros the Firelord is massing his elemental forces, posing a significant threat to the black dragon Nefarian’s mountaintop lair. Things are going to reach a flashpoint- better break out them and show these two how real heroes settle their differences: having a civilized game of Hearthstone!

Like the Naxxramas adventure, Blackrock Mountain will have different ‘wings’ that will be unlocked every week after its initial launch. Players can buy each wing individually or these for any single price, just like with the Naxxramas adventure. Just like the Naxxramas one, there will be new cards introduced in to the game across all ranks of cards, both normal and Heroic way of each wing, Class Challenges, a new game board themed around Blackrock Mountain, not to mention, dragons.

As of at this time there isn’t any exact release date as to when Blackrock Mountain will be released, that it’s ‘coming soon’. Until then, Blizzard has released a cinematic trailer to look at.
